The distillery
The distillery Aberlour is the absolute leader in Single Malts and one of the greatest names in Scotch whisky. This model House, established since 1879 at the northern tip of the British Isles, at the mouth (aber) of the river, cultivates very high quality with wines of high integrity.
Spirits With a slightly roasted profile and intense dark chocolate notes, Aberlour A'Bunadh is a giant like no other that comes as close as possible to the straight-from-the-cask juices reminiscent of the craft whiskies of old ages. Notes of licorice stick mingle with cocoa, joined by fresher flavors of lime and grapefruit that temper its vigor. This is a virile and complex whisky, aimed at expert enthusiasts looking for the powerful taste of raw malts. A unique style!
Elaboration Not peated. Aged in Sherry casks, bottled at cask strength (about 60°), hence the name "Original Cask Strength". Not cold filtered.
