The distillery
The distillery The absolute leader in Single Malts, Aberlour is one of the greatest names in Scotch whisky. Established in 1879 on the northern tip of the British Isles, at the mouth (aber) of the river, this model House cultivates the highest quality with wines of the highest integrity.
Spirits Aged in American white oak (Quercus Alba) casks, the Aberlour A'Bunadh Alba is magnificently impregnated with the aromas of this type of wood, which is denser than French oak. It's a "brut de fût" whisky, with no added water, reminiscent of the powerful taste of old malts, in the pure tradition of 19th-century malts. Pure and invigorating, thanks to its long ageing in bourbon casks, the nose reveals notes of orchard fruit, honey and vanilla, while the palate is more acidic, with hints of grapefruit, shortbread and sugared almonds, and a subtly toasted finish.
Elaboration Not peated. Aged 100% in first-fill bourbon barrels and then bottled brut de fût.
