The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A standout figure in Spanish winemaking, Jorge Monzon has honed his skills with global stars like Romanée Conti and Vega Sicilia. At his Dominio del Aguila vineyard, which is managed organically and incorporates biodynamic practices, he has excelled for over a decade in crafting intensely focused wines, treated with the care of grand crus.

Marking the pinnacle of his success, he has even entered the pantheon by joining Pingus in the exclusive circle of wines from Ribera del Duero that have achieved a perfect 100/100 score from Parker.
Wine Among the finest white wines of the region, the 2020 white Ribera del Duero Albillo Viñas Viejas comes from one of the coolest terroirs, at 880 meters altitude, on century-old vines, some ungrafted, made from the nearly forgotten Albillo grape along with other varieties. Fermented and aged for nearly three years in wood with its lees and very little sulfur, this great white wine offers an exceptional Burgundian character. Its pure notes of fruit, lemon and citrus, minerality, incredible freshness, and structure make for a both airy and highly complex ensemble. It stands among the great white wines of the world!
Vinification Hand-harvested, vines over 100 years old, some ungrafted, planted at an altitude of 880 metres.
Very long fermentation on lees without stirring. Aged 35 months in French oak barrels.

Certified organic wine.
