The estate and the wine |
Created in 2015 by Anita Khunel, the Anita Estate captivates audiences with its precise, well-balanced wines. The winemaker is no novice, having worked on the family estate for many years before finally embracing the path to independence.
This former champion road cyclist is also a passionate adventurer, ready to tame Gamay in the best areas of the Beaujolais Crus, including Moulin-à-Vent, where she excels. |

A small, powerful explosion of flavors, the 2022 red Haut des Seigneaux Moulin-à-Vent is an ultra-intense, deep, full-bodied Gamay. Notes of cherry, peony, and a touch of pepper provide maximum aromatic density; the structure follows this exalted register; its concentration and structure are adorned with finesse, formulating a tasty wine of good power, which is totally digestible, with a bright freshness. This is an accomplished moulin-à-vent, made for long aging; an excellent bargain in a great vintage. Rated 97/100 by the Committee. |
