The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Now firmly established among the legends of Burgundy, and awarded 2 stars in the French wine guide RVF, Bruno Colin is a leading figure in Chassagne-Montrachet. Since 2004, this exceptional grower has followed an unwavering path, working organically and championing a pure, refined vision of Burgundian Chardonnay.

His 9-hectare estate—spread primarily across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin—is impeccably maintained, producing wines of clarity and precision. Each cuvée is masterfully vinified, with remarkable balance between tension and barrel aging.

Whether white or red, Bruno Colin’s wines impress with their finely tuned texture and their faithful expression of the terroir.
Wine Fresh and sleek, the 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes Red, crafted from 50-year-old vines, delivers beautifully ripe and precise fruit flavours. Its refined texture and elegant structure make it instantly appealing, while hinting at solid aging potential. A wine that combines clarity, depth, and finesse.
Vinification Hand harvested. 100% destemmed. Fermentation for around two weeks with minimal intervention. Aged for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, 15-20% of which are new, then 4-6 months in vats before bottling.
Vines planted in 1972 and 1979 on 0.83 hectares in four different locations: Bataudes, En l'Ormeau, Bouchon de Corvée, and Les Houillères, using organic farming methods (not certified).
