The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Faiveley is a centuries-old House and one of the greatest icons in Burgundy. Erwan Faiveley has taken the reins and brought this phenomenon to its highest level. The small parcels of land and the most beautiful hillsides of the Côte constitute an invaluable heritage that the House makes a point of exploring in all its dimensions.
Wine Marked by notes of roses, pot pourri and flowers, the 2014 Red Charmes-Chambertin has gorgeous perfumes and a lot of class. Here, we are unquestionably in the presence of a great terroir at its peak, with an open, flamboyant palate and a smooth, fine, enveloping texture of ideal freshness. The perfect pairing to this bottle? A veal chop with sage. To be reserved for a special occasion! Rated 94/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, vatting for 19 days, daily punching down. Aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels (60% new barrels and 40% one-wine barrels).
