The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A model of Côte-Rôtie, the Domaine de Bonserine forges some of the very best wines of the appellation. A heritage of old vines, ultra-luxurious maturation in small tuns, perfect control of the ripeness of the grapes: rare are the Syrahs that combine power and finesse in such a nuanced expression. The old Syrah vines, locally known as "serine", are parts of what makes them such incredible wines, coupled with the House's high standards and the prestigious parcels that make up the estate.
Wine A model of delicate, flavorful Viognier, the 2019 white Condrieu delivers intense notes of yellow and white fruits and flowers with a very refreshing mineral tone. The palate is juicy, round, and generous without excess, revealing the full consistency of the grape variety and its evocative perfumes with measure. With a good length, this gastronomic white wine will be best served with spicy food, poultry with cream and curry, for example, or shrimp in Thai style. Exquisite!
Vinification Hand harvested, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in wood, aged for 10 months in half French oak muids.
