The estate and the wine |
Established in 1731, the House of Bouchard Père et Fils has throughout its history amassed one of the most impressive vineyard estates in all of Burgundy. Over the years, they have acquired the finest plots, optimally located in each appellation, making them the largest owner of grand cru vineyards.
Clos Vougeot, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bonnes-Mares, Beaune Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus, Pommard, Meursault, Chambolle-Musigny... are among its most renowned and coveted crus. |

Often referred to as the "Volnay of the Côte de Nuits", the 2018 red Chambolle-Musigny embodies the pinnacle of Burgundian refinement. This legendary wine unveils a wealth of elegance and subtleties, set against the backdrop of the vintage's maturity, boasting a rich concentration and aromas of dark fruits, especially wild blackberries. Its velvety texture gracefully coats the palate with a straightforward and full-bodied fruitiness, lightly touched by oak. Its youthfulness is promising, indicating a robust, dense Chambolle that will be best enjoyed in five years or more. |
