The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Run by Louis Essa and Catherine Buisson-Essa, the estate is a confidential address prized by connoisseurs. The constant quest for optimal fruit ripeness, organic practices, old vines, and terroir origins, particularly in the 1st growths of Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard, are the foundations of its legitimate success.

With 2 stars in the RVF Guide, the estate is renowned for its mastery of ageing, revealing the precise ripeness of the grapes and delivering delicate, graceful and intense wines.
Wine Located above Clos du Roi, the 2021 red Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Marconnets delivers the perfect synthesis of a fine pinot noir in this classic vintage. Red berries, a floral touch, and breathtaking juiciness without excess are sublimated by fine-tuned aging with 30% new wood. Silky, infinitely delicate tannins perfectly frame the smooth, velvety texture.
Vinification Hand harvested. Aged in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, and 70% one-wine and two-wine barrels. 876 bottles produced.
