Very fragrant and refined, with aromas oscillating between wild raspberries and Baccarat rose, underscored by perfectly balanced wood notes. |

Generous and precise with ripe fruity notes, this wine is very classy with a fresh juice and good length. It is already very appealing today but can be aged for 7 to 8 years. |

The estate and the wine |
|
|
A major player in the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Berthelemot has quickly earned a devoted following. This is a truly distinctive address in the Burgundy landscape—combining quality, confidence, and a measured approach—all thanks to Brigitte Berthelemot, who assembled an extraordinary vineyard collection in record time. In just ten years, the estate has become impossible to ignore.
Its 15 hectares, farmed organically and with biodynamic principles, include some of the most renowned sites—Volnay, Meursault, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, Puligny-Montrachet, and Corton-Charlemagne among them.
Each wine is an honest reflection of its origin, favoring a style built on purity and finesse: gentle pressing, fermentations that preserve freshness and the clarity of fruit aromas, and a restrained approach to barrel aging. |

A Selection Committee favourite, awarded 93/100, the 2023 Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Mouches Red is a truly seductive wine—already irresistibly delicious, with impressive aging potential. The nose unfolds with delicate aromas of wild raspberry and rose petal, lifted by a touch of perfectly integrated barrel character that adds just the right polish. On the palate, it’s pure class: ripe and generous in texture, yet precise, fresh, and beautifully persistent. Enjoy it now, or cellar it confidently for the next 7 to 8 years. |
