The estate and the wine A prodigal land well-known by wine critics and connoisseurs from around the globe, the Larzac region crafts sumptuous wines, taking its strength from its landscapes, old vines and the freshness of its altitudes. The Mas Haut-Buis estate is its perfect ambassador, contributing to the success of the appellation and earning one star in the RVF “Guide Vert”, one of the most prominent French guides. 


Visionary winemaker, Olivier Jeantet delivers a very personal take of this incredible terroir. Fully converted to organic agriculture, he vinifies wines of great density and concentration, of incredible balance. This particular cuvée, Carlines, is a wonderful example of all the potential of this southern terroir, very old vines and of the estate’s mastery of barrel aging. A resounding success!

Wine The 2018 Red Costa Caoude from the Terrasses du Larzac boasts strong aromas of fruit, a velvety texture and smooth tannins. It is a delicate and perfectly-balanced wine that opens on aromas of black fruits, spices and fresh leather. This wine is the ideal representation of this southern terroir, featuring very old vines of carignan (70 years old) and grenache (40 years old) and the estate’s mastery of barrel aging. Vinification Hand harvested in small boxes, vinification in concrete vats, addition of a very small amount of sulfur, aged for 18 months in 20hl tuns. Wine from Organic Agriculture, certified.
