The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Near Saint-Estèphe, on a beautiful mosaic of terroirs mixing limestone, clay, and gravel, Château La Cardonne nurtures its distinctive personality. The old vines, planted by the Domaines Barons de Rothschild, now produce generous, tasty, and invigorating wines in the purest Medoc style.
Wine The 2010 Red Medoc is evolving perfectly and is now showing great elegance and style. The smooth tannins and the rich and generous palate, which is still powerful but well-balanced, have reached their full potential. A Bordeaux of good maturity, to be enjoyed now paired with a nice stewed or grilled meat, a duck breast, or a beef fillet, for example.
Vinification Traditional vinification, 12 months maturation in barrels, aging in underground cellars.
