The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine The Domaine de la Charbonnière, which has been awarded a star in the famous French RVF guide, is growing in popularity with each vintage. Popular with Châteauneuf-du-Pape lovers, this model estate has been a success for several years now, thanks to the Varet sisters, its new winemaking generation, and a fabulous vineyard patrimony spread over different sectors of the appellation.

Olivier Poussier spotted it right away and his enthusiasm for this has never ceased. Especially since the prices remain so very reasonable compared to their competition.

We are absolute fans of these wines, which combine power and refinement to perfection. Take the measure of this incredible success with this brilliant Châteauneuf 2019 noted 93/100 by the RVF. An unmissable wine, especially at such a price level!
Wine Brilliantly combining maturity and freshness, the 2019 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape delivers beautiful aromas of spices, black fruits, and licorice in a tight and well concentrated palate. Perfectly crafted, this wonderful red wine develops its strength around beautiful powerful tannins, who will age beautifully. A bottle of great potential, rated 93/100 by the RVF.
Vinification Hand harvested from the smallest parcels and from different terroirs (sand, pebbles, clay-limestone). Destemming at 85%. Traditional vinification in truncated wooden vats and stainless steel tanks for 4 to 5 weeks. Aging in wooden vats for 10 months, in demi-muids for 12 to 18 months.
