The tasting
Color Dark ruby red, brilliant and clear.
Nose Aromas of black fruits, blackberry mixed with peppery and spicy notes and smoky cedar.
Palate Clear, ample and complex on a tasty fruit. With fine, chalky, well-rounded tannins, this cuvée offers a remarkable balance between elegance, suppleness, power and freshness. The finish is long and lingering with beautiful cocoa notes.

Temperature Serve between 16 and 18°C.
Food Grilled prime rib and puffed potatoes, roasted rack of lamb, roasted veal, small game, mushroom pie, porcini ravioli, Saint-Nectaire.

The estate and the wine With unfailing regularity, Chateau Chasse-Spleen remains at the top of its appellation. With its singular terroir perched on the magnificent gravelly plateau of Grand-Poujeaux and its wonderful style that expresses the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety with panache, it is a rare and unique Medoc wine that amazes wine connoisseurs around the world daily. 

This Cru from the moulis region shines brightly, benefitting from a very special aura that eclipses its peers. You could presume it to be amongst the Classified First Growth given the quality of the wines!
Wine With its remarkable balance of elegance, suppleness, power and freshness, the 2018 red Château Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc is one of this vintage's great successes. Notes of black fruit, blackberry, mixed with a touch of pepper, spice and cedar make up a complex nose that heralds a great bottle. Full-bodied and complex, the palate develops luscious fruit and delicate, well-coated tannins. Persistent, the wine lingers on beautiful cocoa notes. A great success for 2018!
Vinification Hand harvested, vinification in stainless steel and cement thermoregulated tanks, aged for 12 months in barrels, 5% of which are new.
