Without faltering in an eagerly awaited 2019 vintage highly prized by fine Haut-Médoc wine connoisseurs, the 2019 red Héritage de Chasse-Spleen Haut-Médoc displays extra charm. On aeration, the nose opens with intense Morello cherry notes mixed with a touch of vanilla and a hint of cedar wood. The Cabernet family dominates the blend, as evidenced by the delicate graphite note. The attack is straightforward, with supple volume, delicate tannins and crisp fruit, and a comfortable length on the palate. This wine deserves a few years in the cellar, allowing the tannins to develop a patina over time. |
