The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Star of the Cahors appellation, the Château du Cèdre is a reference for all lovers of great wines. The Verhaeghe brothers know better than anyone how to transform their splendid terroirs of limestone and red clay into wines of a rare harmony, made from perfectly ripe grapes, which perfectly release a palate of incredible richness, with precise tannins and a majestic texture.
Wine The 2018 Red Cahors Le Cèdre is a dense, compact wine with perfect aging potential. Powerful and intense, it conforms to the classic style of the appellation, with an additional sapid and digestible character, and a crisp touch and spicy tannins. A very nice bottle of character and great aging potential, to be enjoyed with simmered red meat or roast beef in a crust.
Vinification Hand harvested, destemmed and crushed, extraction by pigeage, malolactic fermentation and aging of 24 months 50% in new barrels, 50% in barrels of 1 wine.

Certified organic wine.
