The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A one-star estate in the RVF guide, Clos Cibonne stands as one of Provence’s most iconic and captivating names. Tucked away in a pristine coastal enclave, this historic domaine—certified organic—benefits from a singular terroir where the ancient, native grape Tibouren finds its truest and most expressive voice.

You won’t find Tibouren anywhere else, and under the care of Brigitte and Claude Deforges, it has become a symbol of Provence’s hidden potential. Their dedication has helped this rare variety shine on the global stage, producing wines of unmistakable character.

The rosés, in particular, are unlike any others in the region—textured, profound, and subtly complex. They strike a remarkable balance between Provençal heritage and modern elegance. And the reds are just as compelling, offering a similarly refined and distinctive expression. Clos Cibonne is not just a great Provençal estate—it’s a world-class original.
Wine A blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Tibouren, the 2023 Côtes de Provence Cuvée Prestige Olivier Red is a distinctive wine, aged for a year in 300-liter barrels. This is a bold, southern-style red with firm tannins and deep, concentrated aromas of red fruit and plum. It shows real Mediterranean character—rich in texture, framed by well-judged oak, and finishing with the saline backbone that is the Clos’s unmistakable signature.
Vinification Hand harvested in the morning at peak ripeness, selective sorting, destemming, maceration for around ten days in stainless steel vats, daily pumping over, aged for 12 months in 300-litre barrels.
