What a great success! The 2018 Red Les Safres Châteauneuf-du-Pape brings Grenache to its highest level of finesse. Here, the king of Châteauneuf grapes, combined with Mourvèdre, shows its full dimension, offering both finesse and intensity. The nose is ripe and delicate, with seductive notes of flowers, peony, crushed strawberry and spices. The palate takes up this beautiful aromatic complexity in a supple frame, with very silky tannins, punctuated with touches of black fruits, olive and chocolate. A harmonious and delicate whole, of beautiful complexity, with a great aging potential. Rated 94/100 by the Committee. |
