Located on the highest terroirs of Cahors, Combel La Serre is a gem of an estate, led by the energetic duo of Sophie and Julien Ilbert. Organically grown since 2013, the 23-hectare vineyard is located on a limestone plateau overlooking the Lot Valley at more than 300 meters.
Freshness and altitude combine to create precise, modern and delightful wines from the Malbec grape variety, also called côt in these Occitan regions.

The 2020 Red Le Pur Fruit du Causse Cahors is a pure Malbec judiciously aged in cement vats, conferring it a juicy and fruity quality. The nose is very pure with notes of ripe black fruits and a beautiful freshness. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with fine tannins and an intense yet delicate texture. A beautiful malbec to pair with grilled red meat or game. The more modern and accessible vision of Cahors, the embodiment of the region’s new winemaking style!
