Boosting Languedoc standards, with 2 RVF stars, Christophe Peyrus puts Clos Marie at the heart of the most prestigious names in French wine. His stylistic ambition and judicious risk-taking have enabled him to reach a very high level, bordering on the very best ...
The work accomplished in less than 30 years has been phenomenal, and the conversion of the vineyard to biodynamic viticulture has propelled the cru to its pinnacle.
The wines now offer the most refined vision of the Languedoc, vibrant with enthusiastic juiciness, punctuated by exquisitely precise ageing. With their strong ambition, they are a model of success. |

The 2021 red Pic Saint-Loup L'Olivette, planted on former olive groves, is a luscious Grenache complemented by Syrah and Cinsault. It's a sure bet for the appellation, with very delicate tannins, fresh pulp and beautiful aromas of black fruits, spices, garrigue and licorice. A wine of tension and balance, both delicate and generous. |
