The estate and the wine |
Visionary and fiercely independent, the Merlaut family—of Chasse-Spleen fame—has played a key role in shaping Bordeaux’s history.
When they took over Château Camensac in 2005, their ambition was clear: to turn it into a Médoc flagship, just as they had elevated estates like Gruaud-Larose, Citran, and of course, Chasse-Spleen. Now it's time to discover the results for yourself with the stunning 2008 vintage—an archetype of classic Bordeaux, combining elegance, structure, and power. |

Beneath its deep, dark ruby hue, the 2021 Château Camensac reveals a beautifully perfumed bouquet of red plum and cedarwood. The medium-bodied palate is silky and refined, with impressively fine tannins. True to its noble, classic style, the finish is long and lingering, marked by persistent graphite notes. A wine of true elegance and distinction. |
