The estate and the wine |

Located at the heart of an organic farm devoted to vegetable and olive growing, Domaine Terre des Chardons is Jérôme Chardon's project. This 9-hectare biodynamic vineyard is planted on the Costières plateau, on pebbles deposited by the Rhône. Here, everything is simple and straightforward, with manual harvesting in small crates, varietal-by-varietal vinification using natural yeasts and minimal sulfur, and ageing mainly in stainless steel and concrete vats. A charming address to be discovered urgently for its pure, precise wines, vintages of pleasure and freshness that celebrate the South with lightness. |

The latest addition to the range, the 2022 red Costières-de-Nîmes Le Chardon Masqué combines Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah in a fine, pleasant juice, edged with silky tannins. It's a light, playful red, pleasant in all seasons, with a lovely fresh, crisp structure, a lively juice well-paced by notes of cherry, licorice and spices. Perfect as an aperitif, slightly chilled, with Parma ham pizza or chicken kebabs. |
