Nestled in the Jongieux terroir, Olivier Carrel has made a name for himself with Gamay, his favorite grape variety, earning the title of Winemaker of the Year in 2023 according to the latest Hachette guide. Now, with the support of Thomas Senger, who has taken the helm of his estate to take it to new heights, his wines are becoming some of the most exciting discoveries in Savoie.
Thomas Senger, a driven young entrepreneur from the area with a background in the vineyards of the LVMH group, has led this venture for the past two years, achieving remarkable results: a new winery, innovative methods, and elevated standards. These efforts are reflected in the standout Gamay 2022, which dazzles with its precision and vibrant fruitiness. |
