The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Virtuoso of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the Charvin estate has been able to impose its vision and forge wines that are beautiful and faithful expressions of their terroir. Passionate and pragmatic, Laurent Charvin quickly took the path of organic viticulture, turning towards what is simplest, or in other words, the most natural, techniques. Using the whole harvest also gives the wines a remarkable silkiness, combined with highly complex aromas.

Considered an Olivier Poussier favorite, awarded 2 stars in the French RVF Green Guide and rightly acclaimed by wine lovers, Laurent Charvin is a reference of the winemaking world, imposing his refined style over the course of several vintages. Of course, his bottles are highly sought after and are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
Wine From one of the appellation's coolest districts, the 2020 red Châteauneuf-du-Pape is simply magnificent, with flavors of preserved fruit and a lot of concentration, in a pulpy, caressing style. It also has the advantage of profiling a ripe, delicious nose that finishes with a floral touch. The palate follows this delicate register, with present but silky tannins that do not detract from the voluptuousness and charm of this high-flying wine. A great wine that will age wonderfully! Rated 97/100 RVF.
Vinification Hand harvested. 100% whole grapes, light crushing, vinification from 17 to 25 days depending on the year and grape variety (24 days for Grenache and 20 days for Syrah) with temperature control and daily pumping-over. Aged in concrete vats for 21 months after blending. No filtration or fining. Bottled on the estate. Bottled for 5 months in an air-conditioned cellar before release in November 2022.

Certified organic wine.
