Wine A Selection Committee Favorite rated 94/100, the 2020 Red Saint-Joseph Excursion is the latest novelty of the Cave de Tain, a remarkable parcel-based wine. The nose is precise, floral and peppery, well marked by the granites present in the soil. The palate is brilliant, of great amplitude and energy. Vinified and aged with very little sulfur, without any wood, this fruity and flavorful wine is a pure enchantment. A bargain at this price!
Vinification Hand harvested and totally de-stemmed. Fermentation without sulphite, in concrete tanks thermo-regulated at 26 °C.
Vatting time of 19 days with gentle extraction methods, delestage at the beginning of fermentation, then pumping over once or twice a day.
Aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
