On the palate, it reveals its density, a fleshy mid-palate, and a precise, fruity, ripe, and juicy structure. The whole is well balanced, with already integrated oak. |

2018 Red Nobles Rives Hermitage reveals a Syrah at perfect maturity. The bouquet reflects the sunny richness of the vintage with aromas of blood orange, cocoa and a fine touch of oak lifted by eucalyptus. Tasted without seeing the label, its generous style could easily be taken for a southern wine reminiscent of Châteauneuf du Pape. On the palate, the texture is dense and fleshy, supported by precise structure and flavors of ripe, juicy fruit. The balance is spot on, with the oak already melted into the wine and adding just the right seasoning. A great success, to enjoy now or over the next five years and beyond. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
