Wine Made from three superb limestone terroirs around Turckheim and Katzenthal, on vines between 35 and 70 years old, the 2019 White Alsace Gewurztraminer Réserve is a gorgeous wine! Semi-dry in style (35 g/l sugar), it retains a lovely acidic punch. The nose is intense, between flowers and spices, the palate follows with a great amplitude and freshness. It is a great bottle to drink over ten years, with a beautiful munster cheese, a marbled pastry or a chicken tajine with spices.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vines aged from 35 to 70 years old, around Turckheim and Katzenthal on the following sites: Boland, Logelberg and Pfoeller, limestone soil. Whole bunch pressing, static settling, no thermoregulation, fermentation from 2 to 6 months. Aged on lees for 11 months. Natural residual sugar: 35 g/l (sweet wine).
