The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A legendary name in Alsace and a shining star with a 3-star rating in the RVF Guide, Domaine Albert Boxler is a dream for wine lovers. They represent the pinnacle of Alsatian winemaking, crafting wines that resonate deeply with emotion.

Jean Boxler's wines are a masterclass in balance and pure expression. Each bottle captures the essence of this illustrious terroir, and the selection we present today simply took our breath away.

We're long-standing admirers, captivated by the ethos of this quiet and passionate house. Their modest fifteen-hectare vineyard, with nearly half being Grand Cru, sits on challenging terrains, demanding hands-on attention at every step.
Wine The 2021 white Alsace Gewurztraminer reveals itself with singularity, fragrant with the perfumes of the Orient, between lychee, Isfahan rose and a very light touch of cumin. Perfectly ripe, it's the ideal model of a great Gewurztraminer, with a dry, fruity profile, exemplary breadth of flavor and innate freshness. A sumptuous recital of exotic notes and delicate substance, to be paired with mature Munster cheese or Japanese cuisine. Rated 93/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested. Vines aged 35 to 80 years, around Niedermorschwihr, granitic soil. Whole-cluster pressing, static settling, no thermoregulation, 2 to 6-month fermentation. Aged on lees for 11 months. Natural residual sugar: 20 g/l (Vin Moelleux).
