The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine An outstanding winemaker, Franck Lihour has taken over at the helm of the Castéra Estate, a family address of great reputation. Since 2014, the 12 hectares of vines perched on hillsides at an altitude of 300 meters deliver the finest expressions of the appellation.

Having worked in South Africa, California, Burgundy, Clos Venturi or Château Suduiraut in Sauternes, Franck Lihour has worked with the greatest to build up a solid experience that he puts into practice at Castéra to forge jurançon wines of incredible depth and tension. The organic and biodynamic culture are just another layer of this irreproachable winemaking style, centered on bringing out the very best of each parcel with precision and concision.

A former artisan of the mythical Clos Joliette, Olivier Poussier sees him as one of the most gifted winemakers of his generation, making Castéra one of the most exciting addresses of the moment...
