The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Former RTL star columnist and passionate wine lover, Jean-Yves Chaperon took over the estate Les Chemins de Carabote in 2006, right in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac’s blessed vineyards.

Committed to organic farming, painstaking vineyard work, and ageing that adds just the right touch of polish without masking the grape, he crafts Red wines with serious presence.
Wine Driven by Syrah at its most expressive—making up the majority of the blend—the 2022 Red Languedoc Les Rives-Prés opens with delicate smoky aromas, all wrapped in lovely purity and finesse. On the palate, it’s just as juicy and precise, aged exclusively in tanks with no oak influence whatsoever. That means you get pure, ripe fruit flavours in all their glory, supported by soft, supple tannins. A wine that’s ready to enjoy right now. A favourite of the Selection Committee, rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Traditional vinification. Daily pumping over, 2 to 3 weeks of fermentation. Aged in vats.
