The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A solid pillar of the Northern Rhône region, Emmanuel Darnaud shapes wines of great delicacy, inspired by the work of Bernard Faury, his father-in-law and mentor. Concerned with extracting the delicacy of his terroirs in depth, he creates accomplished wines of great comfort, which are spearheads of their appellations.
Wine The 2020 Red Crozes-Hermitage Les Trois Chênes opens with a charming nose with aromas of violets, macerated black fruits, and a touch of black olive and grilled bacon. The palate is supple, with velvety tannins, and is full-bodied, juicy and rich, bringing together all the assets of a very delicate Syrah. It will evolve positively over 3 to 5 years. Rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee and 91-94/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinification in whole bunches, for 20% of the harvest, in wooden or concrete vats for 15 days, aged in half muids or barrels for about 15 months.
