The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A family estate set in the heart of the Beaujolais terroir, on the steep and impressive Perréon vineyard, the Domaine de La Madone is a confidential address that produces wines of the highest stature, thanks to the talent of Bruno, Olivier, and Frédéric Bererd, rewarded by a citation in the RVF 2023 Green Guide.

The organic viticulture is truly epic, and the sincere and striking wines are precisely formulated thanks to the three brothers' vat-aging and Burgundian vinification techniques. Their modesty is inversely proportional to the quality of the wines, highlighted by very attractive prices.
Wine The 2022 red Beaujolais-Villages Cuvée Jean Baptiste has all the stature and substance of a Beaujolais Cru, and far exceeds the standards of its sector. Its pure nose reveals the perfect ripeness of the vintage and its natural concentration. The predominance of black fruits goes hand in hand with floral, violet and Zan notes. The full-bodied, ripe, fleshy structure is full of class, set against a grain of silky tannins. This is undeniably a great wine for aging, with great tension, to wait quietly in the cellar. Rated 93-96/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested from old vines planted in 1941 and 1948, 100% de-stemmed, long maceration, aged for 12 months in barrels on lees for 1/3 of the wine and in vats for 2/3 of the wine.

Certified organic wine.
