The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A model winemaker with 2 stars in the RVF Guide, Philippe Alliet consistently produces long-macerated reds dazzling with fruit and ripeness. These sought-after wines have become benchmarks for Chinon, and in recent vintages have displayed an ever-renewed naturalness of expression.

The beautiful Cravant hillsides make a major contribution: these magical terroirs produce a Cabernet Franc of enchanting precision and flavor, which easily rivals the greatest expressions of Bordeaux.
Wine A plot-based wine, the 2020 red Chinon L'Huisserie has a firm profile. It's ready for aging, admirably cut into a large, full, deep body, with accents of blackcurrant and black fruit. It's a complex, refined wine of finely stylized concentration and stature, poised to flourish in the decades to come.
Vinification Hand-harvested, aged for 12 months in concrete vats and 12 months in 500-litre barrels.
