The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Rising to the top of the great houses of the Rhone Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is reaching the pinnacle of French viticulture.

The Frey family, which already owns Château La Lagune and Champagne Billecart-Salmon, keeps a watchful eye over this gem of 125 hectares of vines, including  the mythical terroir of Hermitage La Chapelle. A secluded place which shelters a legendary wine, coveted and envied by all...
Wine 97/100 Parker, the 2012 Red Hermitage La Chapelle is a thunderous Syrah with a very intense and absolutely gorgeous black truffle nose. Dominated on the palate by these black truffle and black fruit aromas, the wine displays great elegance, freshness and balance, as well as a very nice persistence. It is a great wine that has evolved perfectly in the bottle, now at its peak with its inimitable style, perfectly restoring all the class of the place called Le Méal.
Vinification Hand harvested in small boxes, traditional vinification, aged in French oak for 15 to 18 months, 20% of which is new.
