Peyre Rose, an icon of Languedoc and awarded 3 stars by the RVF Guide, is first and foremost the unconventional creation of Marlène Soria. Established in the early 1990s with modest ambitions, the estate quickly became a benchmark, embodying the model of an emerging Languedoc eager to showcase its great wines on the international stage.
Adored by Robert Parker, Peyre Rose swiftly ignited the critics and the community of wine lovers. Its wines, always highly sought after, serve as inspirations and exemplars of restraint and patience, enhanced by prolonged aging, careful and patient maturation, and exemplary organic cultivation.
The Cistes and Marlène n°3, predominantly Syrah-based, robust and vibrant at their inception, acquire a graceful patina over time, masterfully transcending the paradox between their fragrant and delicate aromatic profile and the sublime concentration of their origin. Featuring captivating finishes, they are exceptional cellar wines, released sparingly by the estate after many years of development in the cellar. |

The 2012 Red Marlene No. 3 Vin de France reveals itself with restraint, with notes of tobacco, licorice and old rose, and white pepper as well. The sensual and deep palate, the enveloped, racy, and elegant finish, can only move. The wine came out of the estate's cellars in the spring of 2022. Still rated 93/100 RVF and 98/100 Bettane+Desseauve. |
