The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Gevrey-Chambertin is a mythical appellation of the Côte-de-Nuits subregion of Burgundy. A seductive wine of unique concentration and finesse, a rare alliance of purity and balance that Thierry Mortet - brother of the iconic and late Denis Mortet - converts into each of his wines.

His exceptional heritage of vines, among the region’s most esteemed, allows him to deliver small jewels of precision at still reasonable prices.
Wine The 2020 Red Gevrey-Chambertin is charming, ripe and fresh. The nose has beautiful aromas  of red fruits, burlat cherries and a touch of violets, which is very characteristic of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir. It is a pleasantly delicate wine, one that is already very pleasant today, with fine tannins. Its beautiful structure will ensure that you can enjoy it for another ten years! A Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested, totally de-stemmed, aged for 16 months in oak barrels, of which 1/3 are new, 1/3 are one-wine barrels and 1/3 are two-wine barrels.
