Founded in 2011 by Michel Chevré, who was then head of vineyard management at the excellent Thierry Germain estate, Clos de l’Ecotard has quickly become one of the Loire Valley’s undisputed references.
Today, Michel and his son Thibaud craft some of the region's purest and most dazzling wines, all made from organically farmed vineyards. These terroir-driven wines are of exceptional precision, carefully aged in barrels or amphorae.

Sourced from a limestone-rich hillside, the 2022 Saumur Les Pentes White is a marvel of purity and salinity — one of the most thrilling whites you’ll encounter.
