The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine 2nd Grand Cru Classé, Château Cos d'Estournel is one of the most iconic signatures of the Médoc. Michel Reybier watches over it with rigor and intuition, giving it the distinction and aura it deserves; his style has been refined over the years, and now finds an uncommon expression, combining power and elegance with a magical smoothness of tannins.
Wine Rated 95/100 by Parker, the 2008 red Château Cos d'Estournel is a first-class Cabernet Sauvignon wine! In an explosion of fruity aromas, which are still very fresh, such as blackcurrant, black fruit and spices, it imposes its powerful and elegant palate with firm tannins, underlined by a magical quality of texture. In a tonic register, this 2008 wine seduces by its rigor, its classicism and its allure. It is a great Bordeaux as we like them, born of a cold vintage and as such, retaining all the freshness and uprightness that we expect from a great Medoc.
Vinification Hand harvested. Traditional Bordeaux vinification. Aged 18 months in new oak barrels.
