The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Château Fleur Haut-Gaussens is an unequaled address for wines of incredible price to quality ratios. Meeting the standards of the greatest, distinguished by a star in the RVF Green Guide, this model property is regularly listed as one of the most important addresses in Bordeaux.
Wine The 2018 Red Bordeaux Supérieur Fleur Haut-Gaussens is a pure marvel of ripe fruit aromas and consistency. This is Bordeaux as we love it, with a hint of black truffle on the nose, dark berries, black currants and a sober oakiness. The tannic structure is not lacking but it is not harsh and crafts a wine of nice energy and power. To be enjoyed slightly chilled, with an entrecote or beef chuck with carrots.  A Selection Committee Favorite rated 92/100.
Vinification Mechanical harvesting, pre-fermentation cold maceration, vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, aging for 6 months for 50% in French oak barrels.
