The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A giant in Meursault, Domaine François Mikulski remains a discreet yet highly sought-after name. Praised by critics and cherished by collectors, the estate’s wines rank among the finest in Burgundy, celebrated for their authenticity and honest reflection of their terroirs.

For over 30 years, François Mikulski — now joined by his son-in-law Thomas Boccon — has pursued a path of excellence, where purity, finesse, and freshness take center stage. With organic farming, restrained use of new oak, and perfectly timed harvests, every choice is guided by one goal: achieving true balance.
Wine From just 1.3 hectares of organically farmed old vines across two parcels, the 2022 Red Bourgogne Côte d’Or Pinot Noir is a small-production cuvée that perfectly captures the estate’s signature style. This first release bursts with aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, and ripe red berries, supported by a lovely thread of minerality. The palate is generous yet fresh, with a broad texture, fine tannins, and vibrant fruit laced with spice. It finishes with energy and confidence. A beautifully crafted Red Burgundy — ideal with cured meats, country pâté, or a seared beef filet.
Vinification Area: 1.30 hectares. Subsoil composed of fine river alluvium, common in the lower part of the hillside. Aged in oak barrels for around 10 months, then racked and transferred to vats for 2 months before bottling.
The vines are grown using non-certified organic methods.
