The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Sought after by Brunello enthusiasts worldwide, La Fornacina remains a hidden gem, staying under the radar despite its success due to the small size of its vineyard—just 5 hectares cultivated organically—and the deliberate discretion of its owners.

The Biliorsi family has thus propelled it into the prestigious circle of great Tuscan houses since 1980. Since then, it has been a proud representative of Brunello, considered one of its most authentic ambassadors, wonderfully exemplifying grand Italian classicism.
Wine Dense and complex, the 2019 red Brunello Di Montalcino Fornacina immediately seduces with its macerated black fruit notes, complex balsamic touch and perfectly integrated oak. The palate is dense, powerful, racy, displaying at this stage a still firm tannic structure; this is a wine that has the capacity to mature patiently in bottle, so be patient, and discover it after three years in the cellar, over ten years and more. Rated 94/100 by the Committee and 93/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification in stainless steel vats. Aged for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. It is then bottled and left to age until it reaches the age of 4 years, then released on the market in the fifth year after harvest.
