The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Following in the footsteps of Pierre-Jean Villa, a leading name in Côte-Rôtie, Pauline and Hugo Villa are forging their own identity. Since 2022, they’ve been producing a sharp, energetic lineup of wines made from a mix of their own vineyards and trusted local growers.

Their style is already well defined — pure, elegant, and full of life. From Crozes-Hermitage to Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and beyond, each wine reflects some of the Northern Rhône’s most expressive sites.

A fresh, confident arrival on the Rhône Valley stage — and with pricing that’s refreshingly fair for these top-tier appellations, it’s a name to watch closely.
Wine Made from 100% Viognier grown on parcels just outside Condrieu, the 2023 White IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Question d'Équilibre Viognier is beautifully ripe and expressive. It opens with fresh fruit aromas and subtle notes of bergamot and Earl Grey tea. The palate is both smooth and lively, striking a dynamic balance between richness and bright acidity. A touch of fine bitterness adds tension and lift to the finish — it’s all in the name: perfect balance. A standout white to enjoy from the first sip of the evening. Top Pick from our Selection Committee, rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Direct pressing, settling at low temperature for 12 to 24 hours. Aged 70% in stainless steel vats and 30% in 500-litre demi-muids. Racking and blending 6 weeks before bottling.
