The estate and the wine |
|
|
Château Quintus, owned by Domaines Clarence Dillon since 2011, is managed by Jean-Philippe Delmas, the director of the legendary Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. The same rigor and passion that define these esteemed estates are imparted to this 15-hectare Saint-Émilion cru, historically known as Château Tertre-Daugay since the 17th century.
Its style is unique! In 2017, Merlot leads the blend with 54%, combined with Cabernet Franc, creating an intense, fresh, and elegantly enveloping ensemble. It is a wine of great purity, unanimously praised by both French and international critics.
Boasting one of the finest terroirs in Saint-Émilion and backed by the teams from Château Haut-Brion, Château Quintus is not to be missed! |

With a slight majority of Merlot (54%), the Château Quintus Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Rouge 2017 exhibits a strong backbone, characterized by energy and freshness. The velvety tannins, elegantly enveloped, create a precise, pure, and highly elegant ensemble, where the fruit abounds with notes of spices, cedar, green tea, and black fruits. Rated 93+/100 by Parker and 94/100 by Bettane+Desseauve. |
