The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Bruno Giacosa, a historic player in Barolo and Barbaresco, embodies the glory of the Piedmontese vineyards and, beyond that, the highest degree of Italian viticulture. This magnificent nebbiolo winemaker, the emblematic grape variety of the region, had never left his native terroir, where in 1967 he created the Azienda Agricola Falletto, praized by wine lovers around the world.

Today it is his daughter Bruna who continues the work of her father, who passed away in 2018. Renowned throughout the world, present on the best tables, the wines of the Giacosa family speak volumes of Italian viticulture, treasures of finesse carried by the great terroirs of Piedmont. Powerful without any excess, in an elegant and traditional style, they are formidable interpreters of this extraordinary heritage.
Wine Generous and velvety, the 2018 Red Barolo is perfectly in line with the great class of this appellation. The fresh and intense aromas of fruit, the suave texture and beautiful consistency, with smooth tannins, constitute a very beautiful, harmonious and precise wine, with a great potential for aging.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days, aged in French oak barrels for 30 months and then in bottles for 6 months.
