The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A great Châteauneuf-du-Pape address, Domaine Giraud is as discreet as it is stylish. Since 2005, the new generation at its helm, embodied by Marie and François Giraud, has been running the estate, which is organically cultivated and benefits from a superb heritage of vines spread over all the different soil types of the appellation. A wonderful diversity that allows the estate to deliver the finest and most convincing combinations of grape varieties and terroirs.
The wines are matured in concrete tanks (for the Grenache) or in tuns (for the Syrah). A choice that suits the very fresh, delicate and frank style of the wines.
Wine Predominantly made from Grenache (80%), the 2018 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition from the Giraud estate is a delightful reading of the appellation. Made from different parcels of the vineyard, aged for a year in concrete tanks, it expresses pure and frank aromas of fruit, in a very fresh and delicate style, accompanied by notes of peony and red berries. We appreciate this silky, very harmonious palate, and the finesse of the tannins. A magnificent bottle rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee and 92/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested, aged in concrete tanks for 18 months for the Grenache and Mourvèdre and aged in old Bordeaux barrels for the Syrah.

Organic wine, certified.
