The estate and the wine |

Domaine Geantet-Pansiot is one of Burgundy's most beloved estates, offering an unrivalled array of fine wines with inimitable charm. Full-bodied, rich wines from a master winemaker, Vincent Geantet (and now his son Fabien), whose aim is to extract from his terroirs all the intensity of fruit and density of substance they allow. |

Produced from a 45-acre plot adjoining Les Griottes, planted in 1956, the 2021 red Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a "true" Charmes, very charming, full of beautiful aromas of black fruit and spices, and perfectly managed in its woodiness, with a beautiful tension on the finish. A racy, extremely subtle wine with 20+ years of aging potential. Among the greats of Burgundy! Rated 96/100 by the committee. |
