The estate and the wine |
Son of Vincent Girardin, Pierre Girardin makes wonderful wines on his own estate that speaks of the genius of their winemaker and the great refinement of Burgundy. In Meursault as in Pommard, his success is unavoidable as his wines express the highest degree of finesse and delicacy.
We were among the first to appreciate his talent and to establish solid relationships with the estate; this allows us to offer you these exceptional wines which perfectly illustrate his craftsmanship. You'll have to be quick as this new rising star is rapidly becoming more and more difficult to obtain, just like the other great names of the region or a Jean-Marie Guffens, to whom Olivier Poussier readily compares him... |

Of great intensity, the 2020 white Corton-Charlemagne is a masterpiece of a wine. Pure and incredibly delicate, it offers the quintessence of this shallow hillside terroir, on white marl soils. The palate is deep and powerful, balanced by a lot of freshness and vivacity. A great wine for aging for 20 years with a confidential production. Rated 98/100 by the Committee. |
