The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine As discreet as it is adored by critics and starred in the RVF Guide, Domaine Grossot shines for the quality and surgical precision of its Chablis. With the consistency of a metronome, practicing organic farming, the Grossot family tirelessly works to produce elite wines, formidable long-distance runners that navigate the years with flair. Each cuvée is a small gem, sparkling with freshness and minerality.
Wine The 2022 white Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux develops exquisite breadth and depth, combining the maturity of the vintage with the complexity of its premier cru terroir. The nose is immediately appreciated for its assertive maturity, with a honeyed accent that complements the shell-like aspect of Chablis. The texture is well-defined, yet taut, precise and pure. A wine that rings true with its fine lemony length and excellent, incisive bitters. A Committee Favorite rated 94/100.
Vinification Harvested by hand. After light settling, the juice begins alcoholic fermentation in vats, then a quarter of the juice is racked into barrels. The juices undergo their alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, as well as aging on lees, separately. Blending takes place 9 months after harvest. The wine is bottled 16 months after harvest.

Certified organic wine.
