The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Domaine Guy Bernard may fly under the radar, but it's one of the Rhône Valley’s finest. Perched on the storied slopes of Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu, this six-hectare estate focuses not on flash, but on purity, precision, and beautifully expressed fruit.

Each wine is expertly crafted, offering radiant texture and a sense of finesse that always outweighs raw power. Vintage after vintage, it wins over those in the know—and never stays on shelves for long.
Wine The 2023 Côte-Rôtie Red “Les Méandres” is all about finesse and clarity. It opens with a fresh, pure nose of dark berry aromas, followed by a palate that’s savory and precise. You'll find smoky and meaty nuances alongside ripe black fruits, with just the right touch of barrel aging to add depth—never overwhelming, just enough to round out the wine. The freshness carries through beautifully to a long, elegant finish with hints of licorice. Decant it before serving, and enjoy it over the next six to ten years. A standout bottle—rated 95/100 and a Selection Committee favorite.
Vinification Hand harvested. Fermentation and maceration for approximately 24 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with pumping over and punching down. Aged for 18 to 20 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
