The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine The absolute elite of the Mâconnais region, elevated by the French press to the rank of “the greatest chardonnay winemaker in the world”, Jean-Marie Guffens is an icon. His white wines are lined up alongside the most prestigious Burgundian estates and all wine aficionados know the value of his precious vintages.

His dexterity and keen eye lead him to explore new trends and vinification processes and he proves particularly adept at sculpting original and unique wines, in all three colors. The Tinus Collection was born at Château des Tourettes, the Luberon property of Jean-Marie and Maine Guffens, located on limestone-rich terroirs at an altitude of 400 meters.

The result is this incredible red wine, made according to a unique technique, true to Jean-Marie's genius: it is a press of rosé assembled overnight with a marc of old grenaches.
Wine Born of an unconventional method, propelled by aromas of incredibly pure fruit, the 2020 Red Vin de France Tinus Rouge d'une Nuit is unlike any other. Halfway between red and rosé maceration, it features notes of fresh fruit and white flowers in a crisp and juicy palate. The tannins are present but smooth. It is a red wine to enjoy without restraint, especially at such a price!
Vinification Hand harvested, juices drawn from the presses of the Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon rosés which were put back during one night on the marc of the old Grenache and then drawn in tank. The wine is matured in stainless steel vats in order to preserve the purity of the fruit. The estate has chosen to package this wine with a screw cap, Stelvin, thus preserving its freshness and exempting it from any defect of cork taste.
